WAE 192 - High Intermediate Writing Academic English

A course that provides students with writing experiences designed to help them express their ideas effectively. Through frequent practice and analysis of written English structures as well as editing, students expand written accuracy and fluency at the sentence and paragraph level; enhance their active and passive vocabulary; and develop strategies that promote their independence as English learners. Writing proficiency tests, a midterm, and final exam are administered, all of which emphasize the use of grammatical points in the context of communicative competence. The GPNC option may not be used. This course may be repeated until a satisfactory grade is achieved.
