Minor Requirements


The minor in Applied Mathematics and Statistics is designed for students who take a limited amount of mathematics in their major. The AMS minor must include at least 18 credits in courses that are not used to satisfy the requirements of the student’s major(s); therefore, students in majors requiring a substantial amount of mathematics may find that a double major with AMS requires fewer credits. Admission to the minor is competitive and contingent upon program capacity.
