CHE 377 - Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory The synthesis of inorganic materials and their characterization using a variety of physical techniques. This laboratory course will emphasize both the synthesis of inorganic compounds and the study of their physical properties. Laboratory exercises will introduce synthetic techniques. Molecular and solid-state compounds will be characterized by UV-visible absorption, infrared, and multinuclear NMR spectroscopies, and x-ray diffraction. Measurements of electrochemical behavior, magnetic susceptibility, and chemical reactivity will be performed. This course has an associated fee. Please see www.stonybrook.edu/coursefees for more information.
