EST 194 - Decision-making Reviews common justifications for decisions through quantitative, algorithmic processes and reducing multiple criteria to one variable. Covers basic concepts in cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, decision trees, expected monetary value, and the analytical hierarchy process. Discussions include uncertainties associated with translating qualitative criteria into quantified variables and assigning values to probabilistic events.
