EST 192 - Introduction to Modern Engineering Familiarizes students with systems and decision-making concepts of modern engineering and technology. The conceptual areas to be studied include an engineering approach to problem solving and design, modeling of dynamic systems, and technology assessment. The artificial heart program, solar energy technology, and building access for the handicapped are some of the socio-technological case studies that are used.
