ARS 550 - In Process Critique Graduate theory and practice of art, investigating historical and contemporary concepts, concentrating on individual development as an artist. Conceptual, environmental and wide ranging solutions are encouraged. Required for first year MFA’s, this course culminates in a body of work for the end of the year First Year Exhibition. The course also provides students with vigorous critical feedback throughout this process, augmenting it with readings and discussions of related New York City exhibitions in galleries and museums to inform the development of their work.
