BIO 369 - Animal Nutrition Nutrient classes, requirements, use, and sources will be explored. Gastrointestinal anatomy and feeding standards for small, large, and exotic animal species during reproduction, growth, maintenance, and in disease are evaluated in the context of mechanisms underlying differences in nutritional requirements. Finally, laws, labeling, and marketing of animal feed will be examined. This course satisfies the prerequisite of an upper division animal nutrition course for AVMA-accredited veterinary schools.
