HBM 320 - General Microbiology A study of the molecular structure, functional anatomy, growth, genetics, and pathogenic mechanisms of microbial agents, with an emphasis on bacteria and viruses. Non-specific and specific host defenses and the control of microorganisms will also be covered. Not for credit in addition to BIO 315 . Satisfies the microbiology requirement for admission to most allied health, nursing, optometry, and veterinary medicine professional schools.
