HWC 309 - Human Behavior and the Environment II A continuation of HWC 308 . This course further examines the ways in which human behavior interacts with various environmental contexts. Emphasis is placed on understanding the impact of social roles, structures, and environmental factors on individual development and identity across the lifespan. The course continues to focus on human rights, social justice, and diversity, encouraging students to critically examine their values and biases in relation to social work practice. Students will apply biopsychosocial theories to better understand the complex and multifaceted influences affecting populations-at-risk, while refining their ethical decision-making and professional skills.
