HAP 581 - Clinical Elective
Provides students with the opportunity to explore an area of medical or surgical practice beyond basic required rotations. Students are encouraged to choose an area of emerging importance in health care and PA practice and/or a potential employment setting. This elective clerkship further augments and develops patient management skills in the chosen medical or surgical discipline and must be selected in consultation with the student’s program faculty advisor. Students will learn to address a wide variety of personal and social issues that influence the care of many patients.

Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of preclinical year courses.
