HAP 575 - Psychiatry Clerkship Provides students with practical experience in the recognition, evaluation and management of patients with mental illness. Through clinical interaction with mental health patients and workers, students will develop an understanding of the biological and psychosocial factors that influence a variety of psychiatric conditions, and effectively consult with other professionals and refer patients to the support services that are required to optimize the care of the psychiatric patient. Students will learn to address a wide variety of personal and social issues that influence the care of this patient population.
