HAY 589 - Case Studies I
Integrates material from prior coursework and focuses on development of communication skills during physical therapy interactions with patients and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Students will engage in simulation-based learning experiences to help them develop their communication skills related to building relationships, opening a discussion, gathering information, understanding the patient perspective, sharing information, reaching agreement, providing closure, demonstrating empathy, and communicating accurate information. Students will also develop their skills related to self-reflection and feedback.
