HDC 612 - Introduction to Orthodontics Introduction to Orthodontics is taught in preparation for clinical responsibilities and general practice. The course will be taught in lecture format with interactive projects. Concurrent with the lecture there is a quiz module through Blackboard. There is a laboratory session for the construction of orthodontic appliances. Lectures will take on a variety of formats. It is expected that you are prepared for discussion. Attendance is taken and once class begins, we request that everyone remains in the lecture until the end of the session. Each two-hour session should include a 10 minute break at 50 minutes past the hour and end 50 minutes past the hour. If the session precedes a clinic period, the session should end at 45 minutes past the hour
