HDS 703 - Medical Emergencies II
The dentist must be prepared to manage medical emergencies that may occur during the course of dental therapy. This course presents a number of medical emergencies that may be caused by specific disease states, medications administered in the dental office, or by anxiety related to the dental visit. Prevention of medical emergencies is emphasized, as well as diagnosis and management. The course consists of a case based session with active class participation as a method of review of material presented in HDS 603 - Medical Emergencies I .
