HNG 547 - Advanced Theory and Clinical Practice in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing IV This is the culminating course of the four sequential advanced clinical courses. It is designed to provide students with the opportunity to implement and evaluate the role of the nurse practitioner within the nursing discipline in a specialty area of their choice. Emphasis will be placed on integration of the advanced nursing practice role, nursing research, and the leadership component in the clinical specialization. Concepts of clinical practice as they relate to the specialty area in a culturally diverse society will be explored and analyzed so that therapeutic nursing interventions are linked with patient outcomes. Students will be expected to implement their role as advanced nurse practitioner, terminate and evaluate the experience.
