HAN 447 - Children with Disability Provides a comprehensive overview of the theories of child development, disabilities that impact children, the impact of family dynamics on children, and the impact of societal and familial relationships on perceptions of children’s ability. The course offers the opportunity for students to critically examine the role of privilege, power, and systemic oppression in society and its impact of children with disability. Course content will include developmental, language, medical, motor, and sensory needs of children.
