HDG 721 - Year III Operative Clinic This course focuses on patient-centered comprehensive Operative Dentistry. It is designed to prepare students to practice operative restorative dentistry by providing additional experience in adult patient oriented care. Students develop the skills necessary to perform comprehensive restorative dentistry in a preventive general practice environment. Emphasis is on the development of clinical judgment and expertise through experience of a wide range of clinical procedures. Students will work with faculty dentists and perform the full range of operative dental procedures, including diagnosis, treatment planning, consultation, comprehensive operative restorative treatment, basic patient management skills and basic communication skills.
