HAD 493 - Advanced Seminar in Clinical Laboratory Sciences Prepares students for transition to entry-level clinical laboratory scientist employment. Exposes students to information on NY State licensure, and National Board of Certification (BOC) examination preparation, job search strategies including resume writing, and interviewing preparation. National BOC and other published examination review sources will be used as framework for students to practice and develop experience with the dynamics of analysis and synthesis of laboratory produced data from multiple clinical laboratory areas (i.e. chemistry, immunohematology, microbiology, etc.) and professional organizations. Case study methods will be used for didactic content regarding teaching techniques. Students will create and present a case study unit.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to Undergraduate CLS Program; HAD 313 , HAD 315 , HAD 380 , HAD 381 , HAD 411 , HAD 412 , HAD 414 , HAD 416 , and HAD 425 .
