HAD 335 - Medical Ethics in Health Care for CLS Introduces health care professional students in clinical laboratory sciences to basic concepts and challenges in medical ethics. Provides overview of the ethics of health care in a rapidly changing society Approaches ethical dilemmas using theoretical frameworks and decision making processes. Explores ethical issues surrounding health care changes and public health policy. Includes distribution of resources and rationing of services. Includes varied topics such as euthanasia, reproduction, transplants, cloning and genetics from ethical perspectives. Reviews classic cases in health care ethics and their impact on health policy. Discusses professional code of ethics and standards.
