HDM 602 - Nutrition This course encompasses a life-span approach of nutritional requirements, with a focus on nutrition principles and concepts relative to oral health. The important relationships between nutrition and oral health will be discussed, including implications of nutritional deficiencies and inadequacies, effects of nutrients on periodontal disease, concerns of patients with special needs, and factors contributing to nutrition and oral related health disparities among minorities and underserved communities.
