CIV 220 - Civil and Environmental Infrastructure Systems This course introduces systems thinking and sustainability concepts in civil and environmental engineering. Students examine how natural and engineered systems interact across scales and how infrastructure decisions are shaped by environmental, economic, and social constraints. Emphasis is placed on conceptual understanding and foundational quantitative tools, preparing students for upper-division coursework in infrastructure, environmental, geotechnical, transportation, and construction engineering.
